Dance Movement Therapy - Individual Sessions Sometimes when we are suffering we are unable to put our experience into words. Dance-Movement therapy offers an alternative that allows us to express through movement and the body. By making changes in our bodies we can make changes in our mind - our thoughts, behaviours and patterns. Dance therapy can help us to develop mindfulness of bodily sensations and lead us to a realistic sense of body boundaries and body image. Who can benefit from Dance Therapy Sessions... Dance therapy can be beneficial for almost everyone, regardless of age or gender. We all deal with stresses and traumatic events in different ways and often if we are not able to deal with them effectively it can manifest in our physical self. By making changes in our body, we can make changes in our mind.
