Dance Classes with a difference...
The teachers of this class are trained in both dance and dance therapy, allowing the classes to be tailored to meet and nurture the abilities of each individual within the group.
Some of the benefits of Dance-Movement include:
- An opportunity to express creativity
- Enhancing physical wellbeing - including mobility, flexibility, strength and coordination
- Enhancing Social Skills and interaction
- Improving Self-esteem and builds confidence
- Encourages people with disabilities to participate in the same kinds of activities the greater population would

What Happens in a Class? Classes generally involve four parts:
- We always spend some time warming up our bodies and getting ready to dance.
- We learn steps and dances in a range of movement styles. Some weeks we might dance hip hop or jazz or even Bollywood.
- We spend some time developing our own style - finding new and interesting ways to move our bodies.
- Cooling down and relaxing
